Congratulation to the graduates of the BSc Neuroscience 2024

Congratulations to the BSc Neuroscience class of 2024 who were conferred with BSc Neuroscience degrees at the College of Science Engineering and Food Science Autumn Conferring Ceremony on Monday 4th November 2024.
Dr Olivia O'Leary Director of the BSc Neuroscience said that she was truly delighted to celebrate with the students of the class of 2024. Dr O'Leary paid special tribute to the students saying that the students had 'displayed great determination, commitment, and enthusiasm during the four years of their degree'. The Class of 2024 began their CK402 studies online during the COVID-19 pandemic, attending lectures online from home in isolation for their first year of university studies and most of their second year. Dr O'Leary congratulated them on their remarkable resilience. She said that the class of 2024 truly embraced their Neuroscience degree studies and are now looking forward to embarking on their exciting future careers.
The variety of career paths that the graduates have planned are very diverse. Many of the students have chosen to follow masters programmes in areas such as radiotherapy, radiography, graduate medicine, some planning to undertake neuroscience research at masters or doctorate level while others plan to work in the Pharma sector. Dr O'Leary wished the students every success in their future careers, and she welcomed them to stay in touch with the department and each other to foster a strong Neuroscience Alumni.
